Malta Freeport Terminals participated in the European Maritime Day organized across the European Union between 19 and 22 May. The facilities were open to the public between 10.00 and 18.00 on both 19 and 20 May and visitors could enjoy visual presentations on the Freeport’s facilities which were being shown continuously on a specially set up screen for occasion. There were also guided tours available on a regular basis to the Container Terminals providing visitors with a rare opportunity to see container handling operations on both Terminal One and Terminal Two, the infrastructural developments of Terminal One West Quay and the Distripark facilities. The coach tours were particularly popular and afforded the public a close view of operations at our facilities.
On Sunday 19 May the Hon Zammit Lewis, Parliamentary Secretary for Competitiveness and Economic Growth, visited Malta Freeport Terminals. The Hon Zammit Lewis met with high ranking officials representing Malta Freeport Terminals Ltd, the private company as well as with the present representative of the regulator of Malta Freeport.
