All persons entering Malta Freeport must wear a valid identification access card issued by Malta Freeport Terminals Limited. There are three types of entry access cards: the One Year Access Card, the Monthly Visitors Access Card, and the One Day Access Card.
–One Year Access Card
Eligible individuals or entities can apply for a One Year Entry Access Card. In order to be eligible for this card, applicants must have their normal place or work at the Freeport facility or be employed by one of the entities which have an office inside the Freeport. In either case, the issue of a One Year Access Card requires the approval of the PEC (Permit Evaluation Committee) whose decision is final.
Kindly fill in the One Year Entry Access Application Form and submit it to the MFTL Cash Office either by email on firstname.lastname@example.org, by hand or by post to Malta Freeport Terminals Limited, Port of Marsaxlokk Kalafrana BBG 3011.
–Lost / Stolen Cards
Lost or stolen cards are to be reported to Malta Freeport Security either in person or by email to the security officers attending at the gate entry points on email@example.com. A police reference official notification, which is mandatory, has to be submitted.
–Monthly Visitor Card
A visitor card (valid up to a maximum of 30 days) may be requested from Malta Freeport Terminals’ Main Gate or from the reception desk at Freeport Centre or requested via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
–Access to vehicles in the Terminals
Only authorised vehicles are allowed to enter the Terminals. Companies are to ensure that their authorised vehicles and MFTL Access Cardholders are covered by a comprehensive insurance policy during their presence on the Terminals. Drivers of vehicles are responsible for following the established traffic flow directions.
