Malta Freeport Terminals is proud to be supporting once again the Birzebbuga Aquatic and Sports Club Senior Team. The waterpolo club, which has received sponsorship from the Freeport since it resumed competitive sport in 2017, has gone from strength to strength: gaining promotion to Malta’s premier league last year. The club has now embarked on an ambitious project to make its pool the only heated facility on the south side of the island – which will also be open to the public. Freeport CEO Alex Montebello is seen here presenting the sponsorship cheque to club president James Bonnici McIntyre with secretary Joseph Esposito looking on. The project, still awaiting formal approval, is supported by Parliamentary Secretary for Youth and Sport Clifton Grima and Sport Malta CEO Mark Cutajar.
