



Breathing green… Malta Freeport Terminals and its employees marked the 50th anniversary of World Environment Day by planting 50 trees at Benghajsa Family Park as a symbolic gesture of this important milestone. The tree planting event was also attended by Project Green CEO Steve Ellul who praised the Freeport for organising this event, adding that Project Green was continuously striving to increase the use of green open spaces for the use of the community and organising various clean-up events, among others. Additionally, as part of its unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, the Freeport organised a seabed clean-up activity in Birzebbuga, and donated olive trees to St Benedict College, Birzebbuga Primary School.
These initiatives were supported by: Birzebbuga Local Council, Malta Freeport Corporation, Project Green, Lubricom, MEP Mediterranean Engines Power, PAL Malta Communications & Security, RCV Handling Machinery, M Company Limited Shanelty, Domeman Glove Co. Ltd, Carmelo Caruana Company Limited, and Birzebbuga Sailing Club.
