Colleagues at #MaltaFreeportTerminals got to pit their wits against different danger scenarios during a Dangerous Goods and Fire Safety Awareness Day held for employees. The exercises included a three-hour interactive presentation about chemicals, dangerous goods and fire safety awareness. Employees were divided into four groups who each faced challenges in a competitive yet collaborative environment designed to generate ideas and responses to tricky situations such as toxic gas, corrosive and flammable material. Fire fighting demonstrations dealing with different types of blazes were also held and employees were given the opportunity to familiarise themselves with different fire fighting equipment as well as the company’s fire truck.
