Action kids… Pupils from the local Birzebbuga Primary School joined forces with #MaltaFreeportTerminals staff in a clean-up of the seashore in an initiative organised by the facility to mark World Environment Day. As well as coordinating activities on land with the children and other local organisations, Freeport employees also carried out a clean-up of the seabed. Freeport employees planted trees while the children planted flowers and came up with a number of environmental slogans to raise awareness about the importance of the environment. They also had some fun, donning special World Environment Day T-shirts displaying the slogan #OnlyOneEarth and having flowers painted on their hands as a sign of appreciation of the natural environment. The event was organised in collaboration with Birzebbuga Local Council, Malta Freeport Corporation, Parks Malta and the sports clubs supported by the Freeport.
