Malta Freeport sponsored Birzebbugia ASC presents Senior Water polo Team for 2018


Birzebbugia Aquatic & Sports Club recently officially presented their Senior Water polo Team for the coming water polo season. During the presentation, Club President George Farrugia stated that “2017 was a momentous year for the club. Not only did we finally see our dream for 15 years coming to its final stages by the completion of our club house, but we attained so many milestones”. 

Mr Farrugia highlighted the main achievements during the year including the return to competitive water polo with the senior team at First Division Level and the winning of the Knock Out competition at the same level this season. The securing of Malta Freeport Terminals as the club’s official sponsor was also given its due importance during the event.  In his address Malta Freeport Terminals’ CEO Alex Montebello stated that “Malta Freeport Terminals is happy to support Birzebbugia ASC as this assistance will contribute to a healthier community”. He augured the team the best of successes in the coming season. Malta Freeport Terminals and the Birzebbuga Aquatic & Sports Club have recently signed a two-year sponsorship deal. The sponsorship, which forms part of Malta Freeport Terminals’ corporate social responsibility has been given after Birzebbuga Aquatic & Sports Club have taken possession of their brand new, state-of-the art water sports facilities built and financed by the Government.
