Malta Freeport Terminals recently organised a blood donation drive which forms an integral part of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme. The Freeport strives to encourage employees to donate blood fully conscious about the lifesaving power that blood donations have for people who need transfusions. A number of the donors that participated in this initiative donate blood on a regular basis. For others this was their first time, but it will definitely not be their last judging from their positive feedback. Indeed all donors felt good knowing that they have helped change a ‘life’.
A number of other companies joined Malta Freeport Terminals in this initiative including employees from Malta Freeport Corporation, CMA CGM Malta, and Oiltanking Malta Ltd. Indeed, all these companies have already expressed their interest to participate again in similar blood donation initiatives which will be organised by Malta Freeport Terminals in the coming period.
The Directors and Management of Malta Freeport Terminals together with the employees of the Blood Donation Unit expressed their sincere gratitude for everyone’s full support as the need for blood is constant and everyone’s contribution is vital for a healthy and reliable blood supply.
The Blood Donation Centre is located in front of St. Luke’s Hospital and is open daily from Monday to Sunday including Public Holidays from 08:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs.
