New service… #MaltaFreeportTerminals is delighted to be included in a new weekly service by #CMACGM connecting Asia with Turkey, Libya and the Red Sea. Offering competitive transit times from Asia to Iskenderun and Misurata – with sailings from Central and South China to Jeddah and connections to the growing Red Sea market – the Turkey-Libya Express is the only service offering direct calls at Iskenderun as well as comprehensive intermodal connectivity solutions for Turkish Hinterland Trade. The 3,534 TEU Hope Island was the first vessel on this route to call at Malta Freeport during which a total of 1,056 moves were efficiently discharged and loaded utilising three quayside cranes. The service, deploying nine containerships ranging from 2,500 to 4,400 TEUs, offers the following port rotation: Shanghai (China) – Ningbo (China) – Nhava Sheva (China) – Singapore – Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) – Iskenderun (Turkey) – Malta Freeport – Misurata (Libya) – Jeddah – Port Klang (Malaysia) – Shanghai. The new service further enhances Malta Freeport’s status as a key hub in the region which offers global connectivity through 17 mainline services and provides vital links to over 120 ports.
